Privacy Policy – Stack

Stack (“the App”) is designed to let users create and edit before-and-after photos and videos. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your data.

1. Information We Collect

Stack is an offline-first application. All data you create or import is stored locally on your device.

Local Data (On-Device Only)

We may store the following locally:

  • Photos and videos you import into the App
  • Projects, edits, and exports you create
  • App settings and preferences

This data remains on your device and is never transmitted to external servers unless you explicitly share or export it.

Analytics Data (Firebase Analytics)

We use Firebase Analytics to understand how users interact with the App and to improve performance and features.

The analytics data collected may include:

  • App usage events (e.g. feature interactions, screen views)
  • Device type and operating system version
  • App version
  • General performance and crash information

We explicitly do not collect:

  • Photos or videos
  • User-generated content
  • Precise location data
  • Advertising identifiers (IDFA is not used)
  • Data used for advertising targeting

Firebase Analytics is configured without ad personalization or advertising identifiers.

2. How We Use Information

We use analytics data to:

  • Improve app performance and stability
  • Understand feature usage
  • Fix bugs and crashes
  • Guide product development

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for advertising purposes.

3. Data Storage

  • All user-generated content is stored locally on your device.
  • We do not operate servers that store user content.
  • Analytics data is processed by Firebase in accordance with Google’s privacy policies.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party service:

  • Firebase Analytics (Google)

Firebase Analytics is used for anonymous usage analytics and crash reporting without advertising identifiers.

5. Data Sharing

We do not share personal content or user-generated media.

Aggregated and anonymized analytics data may be processed by Firebase solely to improve the App.

6. Data Retention

  • Local data remains on your device until you delete the App or remove the content manually.
  • Analytics data is retained according to Firebase’s default retention policies.

7. Your Rights

Because Stack does not store user content on external servers, you maintain full control over your data:

  • Delete the App to remove all local data
  • Manage analytics preferences via device settings where applicable

8. Children’s Privacy

Stack does not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 and is not directed toward children.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page and/or within the App Store listing.
