July 3-5, 2024 Did intial trimming and test-fitting of the rudder top and bottom fairings. Also trimmed off the forward bottom of the rudder fairing, to eliminate interference with tailwheel stinger/spring. The hole in the bottom rudder fairing will need a fiberglass patch, so I spent some time making a practice patch. Not great, but planning to get some instruction from Paul Mantegna soon. I also ordered the FlyLED tail light kit, since it comes with a mount that I like better than the Van’s standard.
